Albany Baptist Church is here to:
Live Out the Great Commandment (Matt 22:37-40) "Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets."
Through the Celebration of God's Presence
"love the Lord," expressing the love of God in worship.
Through the Demonstration of God's Love
"love thy neighbor," expressing the love of God by meeting needs.
Live Out the Great Commission (Matt 28:19-20) "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen."
Through the Communication of God's Word
"go . . . and teach all nations," sharing the good news to lost souls.
Through the Incorporation of God's Family
"baptizing them," joining a local body of believers.
Through the Education of God's People
"teaching them," helping believers to grow spiritually.
